Smelting of virgin aluminum is an energy-intensive process, creating 'frozen electricity' trapped in the molecular structure of the metal that AlumaPower's Al-air Galvanic Generator™ can extract.
But AlumaPower's technology can run on post-consumer scrap, such as that found in decommissioned cars. This waste stream will grow dramatically as we transition from the internal combustion engine to electric vehicles, giving us an abundant, low cost feedstock.
Our approach envisions a closed-loop fuel stewardship approach, using recycled aluminum and then recycling our aluminum hydroxide byproduct.
